Pasadena volunteers delivered turkeys and other Thanksgiving staples to Friends In Deed by bike
Friends In Deed provides a range of services for local people experiencing homelessness or vulnerability. Their Food Pantry provides an incredible service by supplying food to hundreds of families each week.
We heard they needed some turkeys for a special Thanksgiving food distribution. Our volunteers grabbed their cargo bikes and bike trailers, and we met for a group ride to deliver food. Volunteers biked to a local grocery store, loaded up the bikes with around ten turkeys plus other foods, and biked them to Friends In Deed the weekend before Thanksgiving.
This was a fun ride and a great way to start the holiday week. Special thanks to Tim Nistler and the volunteers and staff at Friends In Deed for accepting our donations and the great work they are doing.
