Walktober 2025 in Review
What an amazing Walktober! With over 20 events and hundreds of participants, this was our biggest Walktober yet! Once again we partnered with numerous Pasadena organizations, including the Gamble House, the Pasadena Audubon Society, Pasadena Heritage, Pasadena Walking Tours, Pasadena Village, Caltech CHATS, Old Pasadena, and the Playhouse Village. The “Stories of Displacement: the 710 Stub” walk was our first collaborative walk of its kind with multiple contributors, including the NAACP Pasadena Branch, the Center for Restorative Justice, the Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute, Roberta Martinez, and the City Manager’s office. Our “Tour of the Eaton Wash Stormwater Capture Project” was another walk featuring multiple contributors including Pasadena Public Works, Learning Works, Willard Elementary, and Amigos de los Rios. As is the case every year, the City Council District Liaisons were super supportive and we can’t thank them enough. Rick Cole and his district 2 liaison, Megheti DerBoghossian, raised the bar with a full-on festival and self-guided tour of East Washington Village with 18 participating businesses, a barbecue, and free live music! We are so grateful to all our partners that make this event such a success!!
Thank you to the amazing staff and volunteers who made this possible, including from the City of Pasadena Department of Transportation, the Planning and Community Development Department, the Pasadena Public Library, Day One, and Pasadena CSC. You can see some of the photos below, or visit this link to a Google document with links to all the photo albums for all of the events.
